What it is
The numbuzin No.6 Deep Sleep Mask Serum is a hybrid overnight treatment from the Korean brand numbuzin, designed to deliver concentrated hydration and brightening support while you sleep. It functions as both a lightweight serum and a sleeping mask, sitting at the final step of a PM routine to seal in previous layers and work during your skin's natural overnight repair cycle. At 1.69 fl oz, it's compact enough to travel with and concentrated enough that a little goes a long way.
Who it's for
This product suits dry and dehydrated skin types most directly — particularly people who wake up with tight, dull, or lackluster skin despite using a standard moisturizer. It's also worth considering if uneven tone or general grayness is a recurring concern, since niacinamide addresses both of those issues with consistent use. Oily and acne-prone skin can often tolerate niacinamide and hyaluronic acid without issue, but those sensitive to occlusive overnight formats or anyone already running a heavy active-ingredient routine should layer with caution. This is not a targeted acne or anti-aging treatment, so if those are your primary concerns, it's better used as a supporting step than the centerpiece.
How to use it
Apply the Deep Sleep Mask Serum as the last step of your evening routine, after cleansing, toning, and any targeted treatments or serums. Take a pea-to-dime-sized amount and press or smooth it evenly over the face, extending to the neck if you like. Because it's an overnight mask-serum hybrid, you leave it on and rinse it off in the morning — it's not intended for daytime wear. Start with two or three nights per week to gauge your skin's response, then work up to nightly use if it suits you.
Key ingredients
Niacinamide is a water-soluble form of vitamin B3 with a well-established record in cosmetic formulation. It helps visibly reduce the appearance of uneven skin tone and dullness, supports the skin's moisture barrier, and can minimize the look of enlarged pores with continued use. It's broadly tolerated across skin types and plays well with most other skincare ingredients, making it a sensible choice for a leave-on overnight formula.
Hyaluronic Acid is a humectant that draws moisture toward the skin's surface, temporarily plumping and smoothing the appearance of skin and relieving tightness. It performs best when there's a barrier-forming layer on top — which is exactly what this mask-serum format provides. In very dry climates or low-humidity environments, that occlusive finish is especially helpful, since it prevents hyaluronic acid from drawing moisture out rather than into the skin.
Pros & cons
Pros
- Combines a serum and sleeping mask into a single PM step
- Niacinamide and hyaluronic acid are both well-studied and broadly tolerated
- Addresses dehydration and uneven tone in one product
- Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars across more than 2,300 shopper reviews — a meaningful sample size
- K-Beauty overnight formats in this category typically prioritize skin feel and a non-sticky finish
Cons
- Not a standalone treatment for significant hyperpigmentation — tone-evening results require patient, long-term use
- Overnight-only format offers no daytime utility
- The 1.69 fl oz size may run out quickly with nightly application
- Very oily skin types may find an occlusive overnight mask format too rich
How it compares
If you want deep hydration but prefer a lighter-weight texture you can layer more freely, the COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence is a worthwhile alternative — it emphasizes barrier repair through snail secretion filtrate, has a more fluid consistency, and is less occlusive, which may suit combination or oily skin better. For something closer to the numbuzin format in terms of overnight richness, the COSRX Snail Mucin 92% Face Moisturizer offers a similar step-consolidating premise, though its focus skews toward calming and repair rather than the brightening angle that niacinamide brings to the numbuzin formula.
The verdict
The numbuzin No.6 Deep Sleep Mask Serum is a well-constructed overnight treatment for skin that consistently looks dehydrated or dull by morning. The niacinamide and hyaluronic acid pairing is functional and evidence-backed — two ingredients that genuinely earn their place in a routine. It won't replace a dedicated brightening serum if serious hyperpigmentation is your main concern, and the overnight-only format is a real limitation if you want a product that pulls double duty. But for a straightforward, fuss-free way to wake up with more hydrated, even-looking skin, the strong ratings across a large reviewer base suggest it delivers for most people. A practical addition to a PM routine, especially for anyone looking to simplify multiple steps into one leave-on treatment.
What shoppers say
Shoppers with dry or combination skin consistently highlight how well this mask serum delivers hydration overnight — skin feels noticeably soft and looks more radiant by morning. The watery, fast-absorbing texture earns praise from those who dislike heavy or greasy nighttime products, and several users credit it with a balancing effect on sebum production.
Not everyone is won over: at least one buyer found the texture too serum-like to feel mask-worthy, leaving them underwhelmed after high expectations. There are also scattered concerns about possible formula changes between batches, so shoppers who loved an earlier version may notice subtle differences.
I bought this because I noticed it includes algae pretty high up in the ingredients list, which works great for my skin as a hydrator and I always find it leaves my complexion brighter and more even. This does just that, and is also an excellent hydrator. A few drops keeps my face nice and hydrated, and a full dropper will leave you with dewy glass skin. Its also very moisturizing too, and in the summer you could get by with just using this in the morning as a kind of moisturizer. It's light weight, but I find it leaves a film of moisture all day long (probably from the algae, which has that film forming affect). Highly recommend this to people who are suffering from dry or normal skin or someone who wants to simplify their routine. I don't think someone with oily skin would like this, because like I said it is pretty moisturizing.
Read on Amazon ↗Honestly, I’m very upset that I fell for this particular product. I heard so many claims about the hydration that it gives you, how nice it feels on your skin, however, it almost feels like a serum type of mask when you use it at night. I am trying to use up this whole bottle and I can just tell it’s not giving half of what it claims to. I will say it is very “moist” and doesn’t have a scent but the type of moisture that it gives you is really just that it stays on your face and hardly permeates in. In fact, I would say I feel drier afterwards, but I’ve use other serums that are 10 times better. Deep sleep? I feel like that is mostly just said because of how thick it is. But sometimes if it is too thick, it doesn’t penetrate your skin well. As a dry skin girly, I am missing the hydration for it to truly absorb into my skin. I have to use a serum before this can actually get the moisture in there, but using this alone did absolutely nothing for me. In fact, I felt like the only thing saving my skin was my moisturizer. So of course I switched to a different moisturizer just to test it out and as expected, not only did that moisturizer just sit on my skin along with the product, but I didn’t feel rejuvenated nor was my skin was soft and plump like it usually was. Come morning time and literally felt like I was missing something or hardly did my routine at all. I won’t be buying this product again.
Read on Amazon ↗I started using numbizin’s product back in 2021 & I absolutely loved them! However, I have been noticing that there may be potential ingredient changes due to label changes/images. I love this stuff & I haven’t really noticed a difference in product! I think It might just be hyaluronic acid, but don’t quote me haha It makes my skin feel extremely soft. Sometimes, if my lips are chapped, I’ll use this because I love The softness it brings to my face. I also Like the “shimmer” aka the glossy look because it gave such a highlight to my face! I definitely noticed how my skin wasn’t so dry either! Only gripe is how sticky it makes your face. I do Have cats that are big attention bugs so their little hair easily get stuck to my face and irritate the crap out of me, but other than that, it’s a really good product!
Read on Amazon ↗I like this! Very light and water texture but intensely hydrating! Wow more than I expected seriously leaves skin soft and with glow! Not heavy or oily at all I have combo skin and it actually balances my overall sebum production so my skin doesn’t look oily to feel dry ! I think it can be sued both winter and summer since it deeply hydrating but watery! Not sticky imo just wonderful!
Read on Amazon ↗Quick Absorbing Hydration. This serum is a light oil and absorbs fast into the skin. I use it after toning and let it dry before applying a light moisturizer on top of it before going to bed. My skin is baby soft in the morning.
